Once was in the subway at night.
I had missed the train, and was waiting for another, but
they came out of the tunnel at me.
There were four of them, and I was alone.
not good.
They had that hollow-faced, sunken-cheeked look... like junkies.. with fire in their eyes. They closed in on me while I was trying to decide what to do or say.
They wanted money. .. or drugs .. .. or my boots .. .. .. or just violence if that
